Stretch marks

Many people have stretch marks, it’s nothing to be ashamed of. But some people would rather get rid of them. While there’s no actual evidence of VapoRub helping get rid of these so-called tiger stripes, it’s often used to get rid of them. But even if it doesn’t work, it’s not causing any damage.

Dry heels

Whether you walk a lot or not, everyone can get dry heels. Dermatologists recommend keeping your heels moisturized with lotions. There are special crèmes for exactly this purpose but many people use VapoRub to get the job done. But the same thing applies here: there’s no real proof.

Keeping mosquitos at a distance

A study from years back showed scientists that the camphor oil in Vicks VapoRub helped keep mosquitos at a distance. A more recent study showed that the menthol was also effective and getting the job done. But do you really want to make sure the mosquitos are staying away? Like when you’re on vacation? Then DEET is a better option.
